In a press conference, Clay Bavor as a representative of the development team said that the Daydream View convenience factor is their primary concern. The Developers use soft fabrics and lighter than other rival product to prevent the smartphone scratches.
The main uniqueness of Daydream View is the presence of wireless motion controller in each bundle. This peripheral gives you the flexibility to interact in the virtual world through clicks on buttons or gestures. It can be used as menu navigation, gameplay, and walk in Google Street View. Onboard sensors in the View are able to track the orientation of the controller and estimate the position of your hand.
There are many applications that support Daydream including CNN VR, Mekorama VR, Hunters Gate, The Turning Forest, The Guardian VR, Fantastic Beasts, Hulu VR, YouTube VR, and Daydream games. The Daydream games such as Danger Goat, Wonderglade, Gunjack 2: End of Shift, Need for Speed: No Limits VR, and Home Run Derby.
